Lockdown life is giving us a strong sense of nostalgia, with one of our most enjoyable recent escapes being to the exotic location of Norwich. Perhaps best known for chef-turned-football-club-owner Delia Smith, we can also attest to it being the home of a top notch castle and a very nice carbonara pizza from Brick Pizza. And now, we can add self-proclaimed indie/emo outfit Marigolds and their "lil summer bops" to the list of Norwich's finest.
It appears that we're not the only ones taken by nostalgia, with Marigolds releasing the inventively titled '(acoustic)' EP, based upon previous material. Our fave of the new acoustic takes being the folky new version of their 2018 single 'Much To Me'. The stripped back nature and boy-girl vocals lend an arresting tenderness with the lyrics taking a delightfully more prominent role. It's a bit like Marigolds have invited us round for a chat and a nice cuppa.
