Kicking off with 1979, remixers extraordinaire The Hood Internet have been unveiling mash-up versions each week, and they've certainly entered their stride with their '1981' collection that sees fifty tracks from 1981 condensed into this highlights reel of a track. From 'In The Air Tonight' to 'Don't Stop Believing' in just under three minutes.
We imagine one of the hardest aspects of putting together these mash-ups is in the initial selection but Steve Reidell (who's also in Air Credits) and Aaron Brink's diverse choices feel like a delicious musical buffet. Part of the delight is in spotting familiar and favourite elements - be that Kool & The Gang's 'Get Down It' or Rick James' 'Superfreak' or the dozens of other artists appearing which include Kim Wilde and Yoko Ono.
