Bossy Love are releasing their debut album 'Me + U' on Halloween but don't be scared - based on the eponymous lead single, the album's likely to be a good 'un. It's been a longtime coming for Amandah Wilkinson and John Baillie Jr, who first met over ten years ago in their respective outfits at the time of Operator Please and Danananakroyd. Listen to the swirling off-kilter pop of 'Me + U' below.
Having demonstrated their pomp and sass with a terrific cover of Blu Cantrell and Sean Paul's 2003 classic 'Breathe', this first taste of the Bossy Love album offers something deeper and more emotional. It's a sentiment reflected in the single's video, directed by Baillie Jr, featuring an increasingly distressed Wilkinson, as the music ramps up in a fashion that somehow evokes both euphony and cacophony in similar measure.
