You may know Andy Stack as one half of Wye Oak, or recognise him as a touring musician for Lambchop and EL VY. He's started a new solo path as Joyero, and will be releasing his debut album 'Release The Dogs' later this summer. We've already heard the dazzling 'Salt Mine' from the album, and now we have 'Dogs'. Whose video appropriately features dogs.
"Yay, dogs!" we hear you cry, and rightfully so. But we should also note that Joyero ("joy arrow") has also opted to include snakes and spiders, which may be less palatable to some. 'Dogs' has shades of Vampire Weekend and The National but with a far more experimental outlook - much like the aforementioned 'Salt Mine' which evoked Animal Collective at times. A particularly apt comparison based on the species involved in 'Dogs'.
