Whether you've realised it or not, Dan Priddy has been behind some of the biggest pop songs of the last few years, typically in conjunction with production partner Mark Crew, including the platinum-selling Rag'N'Bone Man album 'Human'. 'Dopamine' sees Priddy officially branch out under his own name, a further demonstration of his considerable pop chops.
Together with Crew and BASTILLE's Dan Smith, Priddy co-founded Best Laid Plans Records, which has focussed much of his work as a producer and writer in recent times - BASTILLE's Remainer anthem 'Doom Days' a prime example of his skills. Not that he's been constrained by the label, having also worked on Louis Tomlinson of One Direction's excellent 2019 single 'Two Of Us'.
'Dopamine' is a dazzling new start for Dan Priddy following previous material under his Braque stage name, most notably his 'V1CES' EP. As the artist explained to Fame Magazine, the suitably-named 'Dopamine' reflects the thrill of meeting a new love interest who you hope will be an important part of your future - "it's set in the moment of when you’re heart is pounding and you’re about to tell them how you feel."
