Almost out of nowhere, Norway's finest proponents of orchestral pop Team Me returned in early 2019 with an expanded line-up and a new track, 'Blurry Precise', their first material since disbanding in 2015. They've been welcomed back with open arms on previous label, the excellent Propeller Recordings, and understandably so. Seemingly back to their very best, albeit with a twist, as shown on the more electronic-led 'The Future In Your Eyes'.
We've been big fans of the band on this site since 2011, with tracks like 2015's anthemic 'F Is For Faker' demonstrating an impressive consistency. Of the two new tracks, we're particularly enamoured with the pulsating nature of 'The Future In Your Eyes', which also perhaps hints a more synthy direction - although the rousing melodies of 'Blurry Precise' are more of the Team Me of old. Wonderful to see them return, regardless.
