Whenever we hear the name CAPPA, we immediately think of the tracksuit proprietors (Kappa, who surprisingly once sponsored Scottish post-rockers Mogwai) or Cillian Murphy's character in the fantastic 'Sunshine' (Capa) but this rising LA-based popstar is burrowing her own notable spot in popular culture. CAPPA returned with a bang recently, with her latest electro-pop single 'I Do'.
Bearing similarity to the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and Neon Gold Records' Ryn Weaver, CAPPA's newest track follows January's sparkling collab with Vanyo, 'Outside The Lines'. 'I Do' shares some of the sparkle of its predecessor, albeit with a more turbulent emotional focus lyrically - the track's chorus hinting at a sense of exasperation with a relationship, "I don't want to love you anymore, but I guess I do."
'I Do' is out now digitally. Find more info at facebook.com/cappamusic.
