We've been eagerly anticipating Kelsie Hogue's debut album as US queer pop hero Sir Babygirl for a lil while now, which will be dropping mid-Feb on Father/Daughter Records. Following the likes of 'Flirting With Her' and 'Heels', Sir Babygirl leans further into synthpop (with an emphasis on the pop) on new track 'Everyone Is A Bad Friend', and we're feeling it. A lot.
'Everyone Is A Bad Friend' will be appearing on new album 'Crush On Me', and it's surely already an early contender for the best track on that record - a tale of social anxiety that basically morphs into some sort of amazing bastard child genius of Charli XCX and Little Mix about two minutes in. Any track that has us shouting "I'm a bad friend" against a propulsive synth backdrop deserves serious props. Arise Sir Babygirl, you a real one.
