Pop royalty Charli XCX and South African actor-turned-musician Troye Sivan (he was young Wolverine in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'!) have come together to not only deliver a bomb-ass piece of single artwork but a collaboration of considerable proportions. Check out the Britney Spears-referencing new single '1999' before the Millennium Bug hits below.
We're all over the so-bad-it's-good artwork featuring Sivan as Neo and XCX as Trinity from 1999's 'The Matrix', and while this combo has a long way to go before being as iconic as Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, the urgent synth-pop of '1999' is a good start. Although it is a tad perplexing to hear the refrain of "I just wanna go back, back to 1999" from those born in the early to mid nineties. That said, we wouldn't say no to going back to those more innocent times.
