Words: Saam Das
We wrote about Northern outfit Mi Mye many years ago, as they collaborated with Whiskas from the dearly departed ¡Forward, Russia! and Russell from The Research, and we're pleased to hear that they're still plugging away. Indeed, beautiful new track 'Ok So' suggests they're perhaps better than ever.
'Ok So' previews the Wakefield/Leeds band's forthcoming new album 'The Mountain Forces The Future, And The Force Causes The Rain', which we hope carries the same sentimental heart of this return. The track's melancholy underlined by a quiet euphoria evokes the likes of The National and Frightened Rabbit (RIP Scott Hutchison) at their very best. Furthermore, the video's astronaut theme highlights the otherworldly sense of 'Ok So', as you can see below.
The new album is due out in September on Coble Records. Find more info and pre-order at mimye.com.
