LUMP is a new meeting of established musical minds, pairing together the diverse folk talents of Laura Marling and Tunng co-founder/composer Mike Lindsay. Listen to choice cuts from their forthcoming self-titled debut album, 'LUMP' below.
Neither member is new to unleashing musical collaboration unto the world - Marling previously being a member of Noah & The Whale and appearing on tracks by the likes of Mystery Jets and The Rakes, and Lindsay most prominently being the producer for Speech Debelle's Mercury winning 'Speech Therapy' as well as scoring inspirational music-led doc 'Mission To Lars'.
Album opener 'Late To The Flight' and 'Curse Of The Contemporary' are the only two tracks to have been shared online from LUMP thus far, but both clearly embody the mix of folk and experimentalism that could likely have been expected from the project. Perhaps less expected is Marling's channeling of Kate Bush, particularly apparent on 'Curse Of The Contemporary', the more immediate of the two tracks. Fascinating work from two highly talented musicians.
