Nineteen year old Sasha Gurney is busy studying Songwriting at the Institute of Contemporary Music in London. Seems like she's doing alright as it is though, under her SASHA guise, with an impressive set of emotive offerings appearing earlier this month. Listen to the solemn 'Bloodlines' EP below.
Her music shares much with another rising star, Frances whose piano-led melancholia saw her snapped up by Communion Records. The new EP particularly sparkles with the string-laden 'Escape', perhaps surprisingly the oldest track. Twinkling piano is joined by layer and layer of instrumentation allowing 'Escape' to gallop along, tenderly accompanied by SASHA's comforting vocals.
