The laidback Caribbean calypso vibe to 'Island Kids' is reflected within longtime former Broken Social Scene collaborator David Newfeld's rough-around-the-edges production. Nonetheless, 'Island Kids' is a pleasant offering from Mankoo, like a more accessible Animal Collective.
