No, you're not dreaming. The Go! Team are indeed back. Ahead of the release of their fourth album, 'The Scene Between', on 23rd March, the Brighton outfit have unleashed the record's title track. The somewhat indecipherable lyrics and lo-fi sound remain, as well as that warm feeling that saw me really gunning for the band to win the 2005 Mercury Music Prize. Alas, they didn't win the prize but they certainly won us over.
The melodic and percussive opening to 'The Scene Between' immediately generates goodwill, and the track has a bit of a fuzzy Polyphonic Spree/Best Coast vibe to it, continuing in the fine tradition of dizzying anthemic songs from the band. A most welcome return.
