Sheffield-based solo artist The Half Earth popped up last year with a series of tracks including 'End' and 'Pale Water' that reached increasingly receptive audiences. With subsequent support slots for the likes of MONEY and Rae Morris, and new track 'Glass', The Half Earth looks set to make a much bigger impression in 2014.
Comprising one recent Chemistry graduate, Conor Stephenson, we heard murmurings about The Half Earth through Josh over at Crack In The Road and have been keeping a keen eye out since. New download 'Glass' is an intriguing, enveloping offering that covers itself in haunting Daughter-esque production but arguably excels in its simplest moments - with Stephenson's falsetto vocals proving particularly striking.
