London duo RAINER released their debut single ('Money'/'Girls') in September and they're already gearing up for a new EP. Which seems to be called 'Hope / Satin / Glass / Dreams'. At least for the time being. Of those tracks, 'Hope' pulls together a wide selection of influences including classical and R&B and you can give it a whirl below.
On the eve of their single release, I claimed that RAINER were "a musical outfit not short on imagination". 'Hope' plays out that statement - starting off in a quietly ethereal fashion, with Rebekah Raa's vocals at its forefront, before embracing Casually Here's multi-layered production. Bonus points for an inspired woodwind appearance from the mid-way point of 'Hope'.
RAINER play tonight in London at the St Pancras Old Church. The new EP is scheduled for release in November. Find more info at thisisrainer.com.
