Following last month's video for 'End Of Time', we're pleased to get our first taste of new Ellen Murphy/Only Girl material. And it's actually been well worth the wait - the soothing, RnB-infused 'Mountain' is arguably Ellen's best effort yet.
'Mountain' is another collaboration between producer Henry Binns (of Zero 7) and Only Girl, following her appearance on a Zero 7 track last year. I'm not sure whether it's the similar lyrical/metaphorical water-related theme but I get some strong TLC (you know, 'Waterfalls' and that) vibes from 'Mountain'. As well as a bit of Enya, what with its melodic glory. Simply majestic.
(UPDATE: Ellen has explained the song's beginnings in a touching message, inspired by her fiance overcoming a traumatic brain injury.)
