London four-piece The Guilty Ones are involved with music publishing big hitters BMG Chrysalis, home to the likes of Blondie and Fleet Foxes, so things are looking good for them already. And on the basis of their forthcoming "official debut single", 'Conquer The World', they look like they could do just that. Listen below.
For those in the know, much has been made of the band's psychedelic and rock influences but they don't make too much of an appearance on 'Conquer The World'. Instead, it comes across like a pleasing synth-pop version of Enya. 'Conquer The World' is a soaring offering driven by Liv Slania's arresting vocals. Having worked with all kinds of well-known producers, including Dave Eringa and Rupert Hine, we expect similarly top notch stuff from The Guilty Ones in the near future.
