'Espoir Voyage' director Michel K Zongo has been nominated for an Emerging International Filmmaker Award at Open City Docs Fest 2013 thanks to this "remarkable portrayal of emigration, loss, and memory". After the news of his brother's death in the Ivory Coast, Zongo sought to follow the same journey that his sibling took from their native Burkina Faso to a new dawn - hoping to understand more about his brother and his new life.
