I'm still pretty amazed that BASTILLE managed to nab themselves a #1 UK album this year with their debut effort, 'Bad Blood'. Amazed but very pleased for the band. Perhaps even overjoyed. Ahem. It's set to be an even more incredible year for the quartet, thanks to their forthcoming Muse tour support slot. Here's the video for new single, 'Laura Palmer'.
If you're thinking that a release of 'Laura Palmer' sounds rather familiar, then your inkling is indeed a correct one - they released a 'Laura Palmer' EP back in 2011. Suitably melodramatic and anthemic, the track was one of the many highlights on the band's excellent debut album.
This version is spruced up compared to the original EP track, with an extra dose of strings added at the renowned Abbey Road Studios. Watch the video, interrupting dog and all, below. Download an acoustic demo of the track, thanks to Camden Crawl Dublin, where BASTILLE played last year.
