Anne Frier has returned with a new EP, 'Craze', which came out in July. The five track EP continues her emergence as one of the most evocative artists in the UK right now. Listen below to our particularly highlights, namely the dark, Woodkid-esque 'Don't Break The Silence', and the strings-laden 'Because He Loves Them Both'.
We absolutely adored I Am Harlequin's triumphant remix of Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'. Her new EP offers a different mood but her usual mish-mash of different genres and influences. On 'Craze' we see comparisons to Joanna Newsom and Florence & The Machine across the EP, with a darker, electronic undercurrent also seeping through on occasion.
If you can make it to The Black Heart in London tonight, you'll be able to see a very special I Am Harlequin performance. Entitled 'Black Out', both the performers and audience will be immersed entirely in darkness, aside from the occasional spot of glow-in-the-dark paint and a couple of other surprises. Just like anything I Am Harlequin does, it sounds fascinating.
