Montreal’s Claire Boucher, aka Grimes, is set to have her debut LP 'Geidi Primes' re-released on the rather splendid No Pain In Pop. To announce the news of the re-issue, a new video has emerged for one of the more haunting tracks from the album, 'Beast Infection'.
The video, directed by David J. Romero & Courtenay Mayes, fits perfectly with the minimal sounding audio, and gives space for Boucher to show off her perfectly pitched, soprano voice.
'Geidi Primes' was originally released through Arbutus as a free download and on a very limited cassette, No Pain In Pop will see it put out on vinyl and CD on August 8. Pre-order the album from Amazon.co.uk, Rough Trade etc.
