'Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel' (2009)
Director: Gareth Carriwick
Cast: Anna Faris, Chris Dowd, Marc Wootton, Dean Lennox Kelly
SYNOPSIS: "Three ordinary blokes hold the fate of the entire world in their hands when they discover a rift in the space-time continuum in the gents' of their local pub."
'Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel is for anyone who likes sci-fi and/or Anna Faris and/or Chris O'Dowd from 'The IT Crowd' and/or 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart'. So pretty much everyone then. Especially as it clocks in at a mere 78 minutes or so, and that's including the brief-but-semi-ridiculous post-credits sequence.
The film essentially is a limited road-trip movie but instead of visiting different places, our three main characters end up inadvertently travelling to different times. Along the way, the films makes several nods to the sci-fi genre, with the screencap above being one such example - referencing a pose on the 'Back To The Future II' poster.
If you enjoy a bit of funny with your sci-fi then you could do a lot worse than 'Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel'. Even though the film is based around a MacGuffin, which is, as ever, really bloody annoying.
Director Gareth Carriwick sadly passed away earlier this year, whose work you can read more about here.
