New Zealander Thomas Stoneman has been steadily building up momentum over the past year, and has unveiled the newest track in his arsenal - the yearning 'Expiry Date' which has quickly followed April's 'Backbone' EP. Listen to the new track below, alongside a couple of tracks from his previous releases.
'Expiry Date' seems to have particular odes to Usher and Diplo's smash collaboration 'Climax', although the mix of electronic music and smooth RnB seems deeply rooted to Stoneman's audio aesthetic - as evident in recent EP opener 'Second Coming' and debut EP track 'Motley Crew'. It's a mixture that has proved fruitful for Years & Years, and we suspect Thomston might just follow in similarly successful fashion.
