I was never quite bowled over by Manchester's cross-genre enthusiasts Kid British but in Bipolar Sunshine and now AUGUST+US (aka August And Us), they've spawned two rather exciting outfits. Check out 'Fun', the free-spirited debut track from Simeon Augustus McLean, below.
"What are we living for, if it's not to have fun?" queries AUGUST+US in the opening bars of 'Fun', perhaps reflecting on his experiences in his old band, or simply a wider carefree approach. Regardless, 'Fun' hints at something interesting afoot, particularly with its double tracked vocals and spoken word interludes. Soulful melodic pop.
