If you're on the ball, you may well have already read about (and possibly even entered) the 2014 Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition. We've been lucky enough to have been involved with it in the past as one of a few dozen judges, and we're grateful to have been asked back this year. It's an excellent opportunity for new bands to showcase their material to a wide (and receptive!) audience. Find out how to enter below.
Previous entrants have included Stornoway and The Subways, and last year's winners Bridie Jackson & The Arbours managed to cram in five sets around the festival. Sounds exhausting. This year's competition is only open to entrants for a short time, and that period concludes this coming Monday - 27th January.
We'll be joining a selection of other bloggers/online music folk to put together a longlist of our favourite acts - 120 in total. That'll then get sent onto big wigs including Michael Eavis to bring down to a shortlist of eight acts, who'll play at a live final in April. Entries for Glastonbury Festival's ETC2014 will be free of charge so please do enter away on the Glastonbury Festival website (rules and conditions apply). Don't delay, you only have till 5pm on the 27th!
