We're really, really pleased to see London dream-folk quartet Mt. Wolf coming up in the world. Since we first wrote about them in February, the band have unleashed their debut release, the 'Life Size Ghosts' EP, which has won the hearts of many in the blogosphere. Now they've covered RnB superstar Usher's 'Climax', downloadable below.
The hypnotic EP title track 'Life Size Ghosts' has particularly garnered attention, and their Usher cover follows a similarly serene path. Draped in acoustica and Kate Sproule's affecting vocals, Mt. Wolf strip back the Diplo-produced original - which is actually quite interesting in its own right, adopting more of a trance rhythm than Usher is otherwise known for.
The heavenly cover premiered at Prefix but you can watch a live video below, as well as download it from the Soundcloud widget. Watch the video to the Usher original below, and listen to the excellent 'Life Size Ghosts' EP here.
