Last year, Tom Vek returned out of the blue, delivering a fine follow-up to his debut album, in 'Leisure Seizure'. Once again, Vek has re-appeared unexpectedly, thankfully not waiting another five years before unleashing new material. The unveiling of 'You'll Stay' perhaps hints at the arrival of a new album before the year is over.
Vek's typical deadpan drawl is backed by hyperactive percussion and shimmering sounds on 'You'll Stay', very much a continuation of his recent work. The video seems a little too uninspired - simply Mr Vek and a remote control truck - especially compared to his 'A Chore' comeback video. Watch the video (or rather, don't ) and listen to the track below, along with another recent new track of his, the twisted experimental pop of 'Film Your Own Television'.
