It's been a long time since I last did a round up of the latest movie trailers but I figure it's time to showcase some of them. The new 'X-Men: First Class' trailer is still my favourite trailer of the year so far but there's been a few other interesting offerings.

After the jump, there's trailers to Joe Cornish's (of Adam and Joe fame) debut feature, the sequel to my favourite Dreamworks Animation film and my most anticipated movie about a killer tire. And a couple of other things too, including my favourite Superbowl TV spot.

'Attack The Block' (US Release: TBC // UK Release: 13 May)

I'm not actually that into the trailer for 'Attack The Block' but director Joe Cornish popped up on the latest episode of the BBC's 'Film 2011' and his reassuring words, as well as a couple of clips from the film, made me confident that it's something to look forward to. Tis a horror-comedy/comedy-horror about an alien invasion whose epicentre is a Sarf ("South") London council estate.

'Kung Fu Panda 2' (US: 26 May // UK: 17 June)

The teaser to the sequel of my favourite Dreamworks animation (yep, beating 'How To Train Your Dragon' and 'Shrek' into silver and bronze respectively) was terrible. Thankfully, this full length trailer seems a lot more enticing as Po the panda (Jack Black) and gang take on a new villain.

'Captain America: The First Avenger' (US: 22 July // UK: 29 July)

I've mentioned this before in passing but it was by far my favourite TV spot from this year's Superbowl so it deserves more. An origin story for Captain America with an extremely buff looking Chris Evans (with an amazing before-and-after contrast) and our first glimpse at Hugo Weaving's Red Skull. Plenty to be hopeful for.

'blacktino' (US: Premiere at SXSW // UK: TBC)

While most people are going gaga over Richard Ayoade's new film 'Submarine', I didn't particularly like its trailer, preferring 'blacktino' for that slightly hipster, indie quirk feel instead. It's about an overweight, half-black, half-hispanic "nerd" trying to negotiate high school and well, life. Plus, it features Danny Trejo. Boo-ya.

'Rubber' (US: April 1 // UK: April 11 on DVD)

I first wrote about this "killer tyre named Robert" movie almost a year ago and made it my fourth favourite trailer of 2010. It still might have passed you by though so here's a red band trailer.

'Detention' (US & UK: TBC)

Like 'Attack The Block', this is another teen horror-comedy with aliens. Except it makes no sense for this to have aliens. Will probably be a lot more interesting than 'Scream 4'.

'Win Win' (US: March 18 // UK: TBC)

From the Charlie Sheen school of movie titles comes this tale of ostracised teenage amateur wrestler with badly bleached hair and Paul Giamatti and co as his adopted family of sorts. Kinda like an indie version of 'The Blindside'.

The photo at the top of the post was tweeted by Lee Unkrich following 'Toy Story 3''s success at the Oscars. Previous trailer write ups/catch ups can be found here.
